It is a condition of participation that you agree to the terms and conditions set out herein and that you commit to the following declaration.
I know that running and walking races are potentially hazardous. I should not enter and run in this race unless I am medically able and suitably prepared and trained. I assume all risks associated with running/walking including but not limited to falls, the effects of the weather, cold or high temperatures, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
Having read this and knowing these facts, and in consideration of acceptance of this entry, I release the organisers and all sponsors, their representatives or successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the race, including loss or damage to personal property. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
Registration for Events
Any person who wishes to be a participant may apply to register to participate in the events on the On-line Registration Platform or on in person at the event venue.
No registration is accepted, or is complete, until the event registration fee is paid in full.
If a minor wishes to be a participant, his or her application to register must be made by his or her legal guardian.
Race entries are not interchangeable. Entries cannot be assigned, transferred or sold to any third party.
If you are issued with a race number/timing chip for a series of events it is your responsibility to hold on to the chip and use it for the other races in the series. Replacement of lost numbers/timing chips may incurr a replacement fee.
As per standard Athletics regulations participants in the 10km and 10ml distances must be at least 16 years of age.
You should notify the organisers of any change of address or contact details.
In the event of the race(s) being cancelled monies are non-refundable and will be classed as a donation. However the organisers will make every attempt to provide an alternative race date.
If you are unable to take part in the event and as such you withdraw the monies for your entry will be classed as a donation.
Event Attendance and Participation
You should check the Run The Banner web site and facebook page before the event date for up to date details and instructions with regard to attending and participating in the event on the day.
You should follow stewards’ instructions on the day.
You should at all times, be respectful of and courteous to: other participants in the Event; event officials, staff and volunteers; and any other members of the public.
You should at all times, not act or behave in any manner which is unlawful, threatening, offensive, abusive or disparaging toward: other participants in the Event; event officials, staff and volunteers; and any other members of the public..
Participants, in participating in the Event, must at all times exercise due and reasonable care toward: other participants in the Event; event officials, staff and volunteers; and any other members of the public.
You should be respectful of the local environment and mindful of the local community hosting the event.

The organisers have taken every step possible to ensure this is a fun, safe and enjoyable event. The race has been organised by and with the help of volunteers to raise money for charity. We hope you will take the run in the spirit in which it is intended. Changes to terms and conditions
